The Colonel

The Lieutenant Colonel is an In-Vitro. His ID number is Gene Pool 13C Batch Kappa 9757 Anchorage Facility. His military serial number is 821-36-97440

Although now a 'lifer' in the Marine Corps, McQueen started as an indentured miner on Omicron Draconis.

His first stint in the military came in 2047 when he was sent to the Port Riskin Ammunitions Store during the AI War.

While serving as a munitions handler there, he was court-martialled for striking his squad leader during an accident that claimed the lives of 27 other IV's, and was sentenced to 120 days solitary confinement. He was lucky not to be sentenced to death; that being the usual sentence for an In-Vitro found guilty during such a trial.
Despite this early experience however, he went on to serve with distinction, even being awarded the Purple Heart for suffering injuries which rendered him sterile (and consequently led to his wife divorcing him).
At one point he was captured and held prisoner by the AI's, as a result of which he harbours a deep seated hatred for the Silicates.

In Olive Drabs

McQueen worked his way up to command level serving as a Pilot with the 127th Airborne Attack Wing: an elite squadron of which every member, excepting him, was KIA early in the conflict with the Chigs.
After recovering from further injuries which required him to receive an MEF implant and therefore grounded him he was assigned to command the 58th, which he has helped to shape into a top-flight fighting force.

An extremely private man, he is close to very few people but his no nonsense approach to command and sense of honour inspire loyalty in those who serve under him.

Colonel McQueen was portrayed by James Morrison.

Mr. Morrison is not only a talented actor, but also a writer/director who has had several works produced not only on the stage but also on film.
Rather than try to list his many accomplishments here myself, I will simply point you to the two best web-sites (IMHO) about Mr. Morrison where you can find out all you might want to know about him for yourself.
